We matched our 42 species count from this date last year, which I'm happy
with considering the ugly weather. We counted our first Field Sparrow in
many months and a FOS Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.

Yellow-rumps are still in nearly every tree here; many in mixed flocks with
a few Palms and Ruby-crowned Kinglets. I counted 15 Chipping Sparrows in
the grass near a south window this afternoon. We saw both Kinglets this
weekend, but the big highlight was the three Hermit Thrushes that I posted
on Friday.
