I recommend doing permissions verification and repair after installing or
removing an app, or any update. That is the Mac equalavant to defraying. Well
about as close as it gets. A lot of people don’t do that as often as I do
though and seem to get by with it, but also don’t know many of them who also
still have an almost 12 year old machine that they still have and can work with
either. .

Also don’t forget you can build a virtual machine and run windows as well as an
option should you wish to do that. It’s not something that I’ve done though,
tend to be happy with the Mac world generally for the stuff that I do.

Another thing, if you guys get the magic mouse instead of the classic style
mouse, in your profile that you set up on the machine you will probably want to
set your mouse preferences to classic, I don’t think magic mouse and voice over
work very well together, but in actuality, I rarely use the mouse at all with
my machines.

I’ve even accidentally found the solution to a problem that has been plaguing
some of us for years, and that is how to see what’s in a folder on sendspace
wizard. Don’t use the enter key, or any of the voice over clicks, just numpad
5 twice quickly, it will then say image and loading, then using the VO keys can
see what’s there. This is something windows users have been doing for ever
just using their enter key, but it wouldn’t work with the mac, but accidentally
hit it one night, and of course thought I probably screwed something up in the
process, and there I was inside the folder. Well that changes the way I
construct things over there to be stored.
