Yes, their are many ways to do a job but sometimes easy to loose sight of
the original point and get off on a tangent. KISS comes to mind.
Scaled topping cycle engines is cool but still like to see that
eclectic pump scaling analysis.

If you've gone to the trouble of building a gas generator and a turbine,
there's no obvious reason to interpose a generator and a motor between it
and the pump -- either a direct shaft connection or a gearbox is a lot
simpler, and likely to be a rather lighter way to handle that much power.
