Have you contacted Melco tech support....is this machine under warranty--extended warranty? Where is your presser foot height and have you been setting it at the correct height correctly? That is, going into "Maintenance", "Head timing", "Bottom Center", and turnng the ratchet wheel to raise and lower the foot? How is the tension on the X-axis cables onder the plastic side covers. If this cable has slipped and or is not adusted properly, then you will have registration problems. Tech support can talk you through with checking some of these items and determine if a tech call will be needed or not. How tight are you hooping the material in the jacketback hoop to run Ampass. My experience is that you "must" hoop the large hoops as tight as you can get them. No floppy backing or material allowed...wrap the hoop with something to keep the material from slipping...etc... The same goes for the smaller hoops. Taut is the key...no flagging allowed. If there is loose material, regardless if you have been using sticky spray which is another bad story in the making....the presser foot can push the material around causing some of the issues you have decribed.
