It worked! Now here's my 2¢ worth. 1) same as Aaron-are both hoop 'arms' screwed down tight 2) is the HOOP tight, and do you have 'adhesive backing' around the inside/outside to give it some grip on the material? My 1st guess is the material is shifting-as it sews, the thread 'tightens' the material together, and pulls it in the hoop. So when it comes back the other direction to finish the letter, the material has moved in the hoop 3) backing-the satin is a wicked slippery material-you may need to use adhesive spray or adhesive backing if that will keep it from moving. 4) the lettering is large enough you might add a zigzag or centerline underlayment-this will 'tie down' the entire letter to the backing before it sews the front-may not be any underlayment on the lettering now-so as it sews the top it shifts, then comes back up from the bottom and moves again as it sews. From the test pattern-I see what I think is a definite 'material shift' in one direction-side to side on all the pattern. So I'd check each possible problem: hoop arms, hoop tension, hoop 'grab' (wrap with adhesive paper to stop), material sliding on backing, and stitch density-might be too tight. If it's 3.5, say, change to 3.8, might help some of the 'pull'. It's an experiment process but narrow down each possibility and then try the next. Once you get it, write it down on the back of a sample and put it in a file-you'll have it for the next job! =========================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list ===========================================================
