Their argument for not letting you see headphones is that you can't "try" them anyway, because of the risk of infection. . . ..

Hi Carol.interesting, but I think the scope of this one goes well beyond disability.Anyone, for example, needs to try headphones particularly if buying an expensive pair or a pair that will be worn for long periods of listening. If your phone case you want is not specifically for the Nokia 6600, you may need to try it to see if it fits. A picture on the packaging may not tellthe whole story. I don't know what your writes are here though. not sure if organisations like Which may have any info. I'm currently looking aroundfor my case for the Nokia 6630 but, as this phone has been discontinued, many of the suitable covers are now no longer available. In an attempt to find something appropriate, I have realised that, in a lot of cases, these(like so many other goods) are well packaged and not readily feelable. Yes, I could take something home and try it, and be sure to get a receipt with anassurance that I could return the product, but I don't really want to do this. When a shop worker does not wish to take items from their packages, Is thisreally anything I should expect (as a "reasonable adjustment" (under the DDA) as a blind person? I know headphones cannot be tried in shops, but I like at least to feel them, nevertheless! Has anyone felt strongly enough to insist the packaging is removed for inspection? Thanks for any comments. -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq __________ NOD32 2432 (20070802) Information __________ This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system. http://www.eset.com ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
