Heavy rain kept the number of observers at this morning's Huntley Meadows
Monday walk to 4. The reduced number of birders and the distracting rain
kept our species count to 27. The most prolific birds were the ducks in the
central wetland. The unique call of the Green Wing Teal, and the large number
of them, reminded one of the Spring Peeper chorus heard each spring at Huntley.
