Apologies to those who may have braved the wet weather this morning to come out
for the Huntley Meadows Monday Morning Birdwalk, only to find themselves alone.
(So much for our heroic claims of all-weather operations!) But, if one also
factors in the New Years Holiday, and participation by several of our regulars
in an exhausting Ft. Belvoir Sector CBC yesterday, it might be possible to
expect just a little forgiveness. However, since bird records at Huntley
Meadows do depend heavily on the data supplied by the Monday Morning walk, if
any did make the walk, we would be grateful for a posting of their sightings.
The Monday Morning walks will resume next week at the regular hour of 7 AM,
rain or shine (honest!). Birders meet in the parking lot at Huntley at 3701
Lockheed Blvd in Alexandria. Those having questions may call the Park at (703)
768-2525 during normal business hours.
