I rode through Dutch Gap on Wednesday after work to catch the late
afternoon sun. Not much going on there at all. The GBH seemed to be
sitting on the nest in the center area. Some Canada Geese, coots, and
ring necks. I did finally see some wood ducks in there and got a few
pictures of them despite many branches and weeds between us. There was
a pair of kingfishers hanging around and a lone osprey way over in the
swamp area.

Also, I think I posted about the osprey showing up on the 6th over in
Hopewell on the James River. I had my camera with me and happened to
shoot one as it was flying over. I got the Lightroom software recently
and finally got the picture processed so that I am happy with it. It is
a beautiful bird. Thanks to Lynda for helping figure out that software.
(not that I have it figured out, but I got one pic out of it!)
