[TN-Bird] Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge

Fifty-one species were identified today, most at the
Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge in Birchwood (Meigs County). In the following list of
highlights, some species were seen from the gazebo at HWR, while others were
observed from the viewing platform at the Cherokee Removal Memorial Park. Most
of the duck species were present at both sites. Sandhill cranes, totaling at
least a few hundred, were found at both locations.

green-winged teal, ring-necked, lesser scaup, hooded merganser
