At the CRMP and HWR, there were at least one thousand very active sandhill
cranes in view this morning, along with whooping cranes, bald eagles, hooded
mergansers, mallards, and around 30 redheads (or were they canvasbacks? I'm not
that great at identifying ducks, especially at great distances!)
