> Let's ask ourselves, why do we create images, and why have we chosen > photography to do so. The answers might be surprising. My interest in photography began at age 13 or so, when I discovered that the photography books in the local library contained pictures of bare naked women. Spending so much time with those books, I stumbled on the technical sections and got interested in the equipment and process. Since then, I've worked in a camera store, done a stint in commercial photography, owned way too many cameras, built several darkrooms, taken classes, gone to workshops, and made thousands of photographs of one kind or another for 45 years. Only recently, have I begun to make images that I find <cough> artistically satisfying. I think I've enjoyed every part of the experience.
