Christy,

I believe the answer is you CAN send mail with the EarthLink addy.

Set up the account the regular way....BUT and this is the big important BUT 
in the procedure,...

When it asks for the SMTP information, put in the SMTP information that you 
use with your Cox address.

Then, your mail should work just fine.

I send mail with my Cox address, my LoveBytes addresses and other domain 
names.  This step works just fine for me.
