The real issue here is not the RF environment per se.The question is how to reach the growing number of devices that will NEVER have an ATSC 1.0 receiver, or an ATSC 2.0 receiver, UNLESS that receiver uses the same radio standard as the mobile broadband providers.
So the real question is whether broadcasters are willing to work with competitors to develop a compatible system that will allow them to remain relevant.
And then there is the question of how many broadcasters are going to cash out when given the chance to take the money and run...
