Hi Ian

I believe I read she runs them all on compressed air to verify they work,
not wanting to damage the finish by steaming them. I've never seen photos or
heard of her being at a rally or meet and running any of her models on
steam. I have no doubt they would steam though, having seen lots of photos
of internal details of the models in ME through the years.

Hers are certainly glass case rather than rough as guts / steam it into the
ground models. My stuff tends to lean more to the latter description!

I couldn't be less interested in competitions for models, so what category
her work fits in, to me, is unimportant. Classifying anyone's one is an
awful task for anyone - there will always be both ends of the spectrum. I
bet I get just as much enjoyment out of building my stuff, and seeing
others' stuff, as Mrs. Hill has from building her masterpieces, and that's
really what models are all about in my opinion.

Cheers, Jeff Dayman Waterloo Ontario Canada
