But otherwise, Gentoo runs without a hitch - and it's not a gw/firewall only, it's also my desktop machine, used for multimedia, gaming etc... I only managed to lock the machine once, by foolishly trying to dd an image while simultaneously doing a test burn. I'm not quite sure why that happened, but I think it's rather not to be blamed on Gentoo.
