RE: Jaws 10 and RealSpeak Solo direct voices

Yes, they are external units which connect via a serial (com) port. I'll
have to get to the back of my pc and see if it has a serial port. I
downloaded some of the real speak voices. I particularly liked Serena.
When I made a profile for her, I discovered that her voice breaks up in an
annoyingly consistent way. What is the key combination to bring up the
voice profiles? I thought that it was insert-shift-s, but that's not it.
Thanks for your help,
Jeff

It all depends on which incarnations of the DecTalk you have. If they're
the old card-based units, unlikely, since no modern computer has slots
to accomodate them. But if they're serial-based, and your computer still
has either a serial port or USB to serial converter, you should have no
problems.
