I agree. I certainly don't have any voting rights but if could make a plea to
not follow everyone down the totally flat UI route? The bas relief (in my
opinion) of Haiku is one of its endearing features.

Some apps use a BTabView with spacing around it, e.g. Appearance

Should we avoid the mix and do it either one way or the other?
I much prefer the extra padding, looks more modern and less cramped.
better in my eyes. Cramped is a good word here.
As most screens are HD / Wide, what benefit does removing the left/right
padding offer?
