Last night began when the group of Riders that are going after the
power of the gods (Magnus, Nadan, Quasit, Baish, Talosaard, Carpathia
and their ally Mileena) started their quest. They went to Ambrosia's
new tavern, where they confronted Mileena about some of her activities
against the group. They found that she has hidden Talosaard's dead wife
away as a way to control him (and by extension Magnus) and she also used
necromantic magic to bind her life force to Ambrosia's (again to control
her and Magnus). They convinced her to remove the spell binding her to
Ambrosia, and she told them that they would eventually come upon
Talosaard's dead wife in their travels.
She then informed them that Celane was heading to a city called
Ribcage, which was a gateway to Hell, to begin her quest. Apparently
the Black Legion had also gone that way. Knowing they had no time to
waste, the group quickly hired a tout and made their way to Ribcage.
After a short altercation with three minions of Hell, they entered the
city of Ribcage, and made their way to the tower headquarters of its
ruler.
By the time they got there, they found the tower had been attacked
by the Black Legion, and the ruler slain. They also found that Dennis
had been there, but had managed to flee by portal to Sigil, while the
Black Legion continued to Hell. Deciding to try and find Dennis, the
Riders also returned to Sigil. Once there, Magnus used his Crystal Ball
to find Dennis leaving the city of Sigil. Teleporting the group there,
he found Ambrosia, who said that Dennis was going back "to where it all
started". The Riders quickly followed through the portal and found
themselves at Amrikol's castle in the Thunderpeaks.
As they prepared to enter the castle, they found themselves blocked
by a magical barrier. Elminster appeared, claiming that he had been
charged with blocking the entry to the castle. He stated that he must
not allow the Riders to interfere with what was happening inside, but
agreed that the good members of the group (Nadan, Carpathia and Quasit)
could go in, while the rest waited outside.
Upon entering the castle, they found Dennis and Celane. Celane had
the tooth of Dendybar the Night Serpent, and was casting a spell of
awesome power. She had decided to remove the power that the Black
Legion and the Riders were searching for, by reconstituting the
destroyed world which had created the power in the first place. To do
this, she was drawing back the gods that had been destroyed when this
world died. The Riders were willing to allow this, and it seemed it
would restore this world and all it's people, who had died before their
time. However, Dennis began to say how this plan had been hatched with
help from Amrikol and General Claw, who seemed to be the Dr. Klaw that
had fought Gadget on so many occasions. As the Riders began to realize
what was happening, Celane was caught up in a huge burst of power, and
the spirits of the gods from this destroyed world filled the room.
The Riders were unsure of what to do, but felt that this should be
stopped. They were blasted by a Meteor Swarm from the circle of gods,
and when that did not stop them, they released Talos to a physical
form. Nadan cast Greater Shield of Lathander, hoping that he could use
it to get close enough for one round to grab the tooth from Celane.
Quasit cast Dimensional Anchor to try and keep the deities from escaping
through a portal at the back of the room.
Talos quickly stood between Celane and the party, blasting them with
Chain Lightning and Cone of Cold (which killed Dennis). Realizing he
could not get past Talos as he originally hoped, Nadan put the two of
them in a Prismatic Sphere, hoping that he could take the brunt of
Talos' attack, and save Quasit and Carpathia. Talos, not realizing that
Nadan was now vulnerable, tried to dispel Nadan's protections, and then
filled the sphere with water (which Nadan was not affected by, due to
his Ring of Water Elemental Command).
At this time, the deities managed to overcome the Dimensional Anchor
spell and fled through the portal, just as the rest of the Riders
entered the room (Elminster finally letting them in, after they all saw
the Meteor Swarm blow the hell out of that section of the castle). As
soon as the gods disappeared, Talos' form crumbled to dust. The Riders
gathered up Dennis' corpse and returned to Sigil.

I'll do my thoughts in another e-mail. I have detailed this out, so
people can see how I thought things went last night. Feel free to
correct my errors.
