Members and Friends of Austin Mennonite Church

The event we have planned for is almost here. Tomorrow evening we will begin the first session of the first ever National Assembly to Honor Freedom of Conscience.

I met June and Walter Wink at the airport earlier this afternoon. They are safe in Austin and looking forward to sharing this weekend with us.

Find more about the assembly program on the website at www.mennochurch.org/nathfc. I have copied the general program scenario below for your awareness.

Because of conference programing we will not be meeting in the church building on Sunday morning as usual for worship, study time, and the community meal. Instead, we will have opportunity to share in the 10a session in Wooldridge Square Park (9th and Guadalupe). Music, an address by Ann Wright, testimonies of CO experiences, a ritual offering of prayers for peace in the international community, and a chance to individually walk a labyrinth for spiritual enrichment and renewal will be there. Afterward, about noon, we will share lunch together in the park, catered by Rudy's BBQ and Veggie heaven.

Thank you for your generous support of this project. I trust it will be an enriching experience for all of us.

May it go well with you. Sincerely,
Garland Robertson
