They do discount the software if you buy it at the same time as the machine. 
(If this is your first machine, the machine is useless without the software 
so you need it anyways.) Melco offers four different versions of the 
software. DO NOT get the lite version, that one is very basic and if you 
decide to do digitizing later, it will be costly to upgrade. I don't believe 
the salesperson will sell you that version anyways. See Melco's website for 
the features in each version. As far as other additional
add ons, call your sales person. The promotions seem to change every few 
months. Most do come with a "starter kit" which has a few spools of thread, 
backing, scissors, etc. Just enough to get you started but you WILL have 
purchase more items such as additional colors of thread, more backing, etc.

Are there discounts that anyone knows about?  Do you see discounts at ISS
conventions on machines purchased at these shows, or do you get any 
additional
add ons (Free Hoop Master, Free Software, etc) ?
