Ah, OK!

Sorry!

I think options on older versions are much more limited anyway such as lack
of street names and how much you can get into and therefore out of the app
anyway.

I believe that Talks is only working well in terms of something we could
reasonably call accessible on later versions of OVI.

Cheers.

Paul - but it seems from what others have said, that there is a charge for
those of us with older phones [n82] that can only run earlier versions of
OVI such as 3.01. Though I'd have thought Nokia could just as well now make
it free to use, as with later versions? -

There shouldn't be a charge now for OVI, hasn't been for a while and that
was partly the reason for the demise of the accessible Satnav system,
Wayfinder Access.

I won't bore with the history now but, basically, for those who don't know,
Vodafone bought into the SatNav industry, just when Nokia and Google offered
their services for free.

Cheers.

Hi,

I don't think I've been charged for the speech guidance component and I use
it regularly.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi all

I understand that I can use OVI maps as a gps solution to Access, on my N82,
but have also discovered that there is a charge from Nokia to use the speech
component of the software, so will Ovi maps work just with TALKS, as in
pedestrian mode under Access, or will I need to pay for the Nokia voicing
service? -
