Happy 1st Nov I have used the Weatherstrip adhesive over many years..3M 80001 lovingly called "elephant snot" with pretty decent results. I have had a couple of dogs have reactiions to it...it was immediate. It works quite well on the dogs that have no problem with it. "Gunk" brand carburetor cleaner removes it from surfaces, ears, and YOU. It is ether based, gentle on the skin. Use "Gunk" only in areas that are well-ventilated....whew!!! Highly flammable. ...I tried the alternative that some of the Dane people use , Turbot glue....useless. Never tried tear mender, although we did have a puppy buyer several years ago decide they would "set" the ears themselves....used GOBS of tear mender with rollers...the poor dog was miserable, and it took me 3 hours to get the rollers out and the layers of glue off. I could have strangled them. I have heard some people use the glue that is used on hair extensions, braids...supposedly works well , because it is supposedly hypo allergenic..can't say, never used it. Opinions on that one, anyone? Kathy http://www.victorygermanshepherds.com PUP-DATED: OCT 5, 2009 Home of: CH. Elvaston's Nations Cup TC, 26 BOBs CH. Victory's Leviathan CH.
