In the early 80's, I bought a long coated male sired by Sel. Ch. Joey Baby. The breeder just shook her head as she knew I wanted to "show" and told me he was a coat. That dog had lovely structure and as memory serves I believe he had a reserve win to his credit. His coat wasn't excessive, he had the fringe on the ears and back of the legs, not the collie type long coat. We lived in Alaska, snow and weather never presented any problems. Ultimately, my boy sired a litter and actually my first champion was born, Ch. Midnight Sun's Double Trouble (very plush coated). Boy I sure loved those dogs.. I was "hooked"..
