Judith,
I am using a Canon BJC-265SP and am using a black cartridge. For this
printer the only difference is that it will tell you there is a monochrome
detected and ask a question.... can't remember exactly. I just hit ignore
and the printing begins. I have used colour refills. bit of a giggle that!!
They work fine but the refilling can be a challenge.
