Judith,

I don't think filling the color cartridges with black ink would work. I use
only black in my old HP deskjet. There is a setting called grayscale only I
believe in most printers which uses only black. The cartridges in mine last
a good while. I buy them refilled online.

Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Printers

Is there any such thing as just a black ink deskjet printer?

I only need to print out things in rough draft form and I am
tired of having to pay for color when I don't use it.

Can the color cartridges be filled with black ink. I know I can
take my black ink cartridge to be refilled once or twice but
what about the 3 pak of color -- can they be changed to simply
have black ink?
