This has happened to me several times - again we thought it was due to some a/v malformation. Both patients were diabetics. Repeat injection on the opposite arm, perfect transit. The fellows thought there was some sort of loop in the vein - a new vessel that basically went nowhere. Really strange. Standard push of dye and nothing. No pain, no dye in vessels/eye. Waited about ten minutes and re-injected and normal show of dye. No explanation. Patient was heavy set but not significantly obese. With RF filters, I had a view to the retina, but with barrier and exciter filters in, the view was gone. The lens acted like another filter and completely blocked any blue or green. That's the only time I've seen this. Darrin Darrin Landry, CRA, OCT-C Consultant Bryson Taylor Inc. Almost sounds like only 'red-free' filter in place, not FA set. Have had a number of really dark scans, and blocked 2nd cataract scatter. All camera functions we're verified and set correctly and the Color fundus and redfree images we're good. Just curious.
