How naive. Twenty years ago, we were told that everyone by 1995 would be using ISDN. Yet, everyone is still using POTS or a much more bandwidth restrictive wireless replacement for POTS. Fifteen years ago, we were told that by now every household would be connected via fiber and ATM, for multimedia access. Yet we still use NTSC for TV for the most part, very few homes have fiber, and most still access the Internet with modems over POTS. Things take time to change. Get used to it. And some things change faster than others. For example, broadband for Internet access might be available, but people still get their TV fix now as they did 25 years ago, except for the slightly different DBS distribution model. Just because things can be done differently does not mean that they will.
