Birded a bit around Florence this morning. At the Siuslaw south jetty crab
docks there were 2 MARBLED GODWITS, 40 Western SP and 20 Semipalmated
Plovers. No sign of the Red Knot or Dunlin which were still present
yesterday.
The deflation plain is still dry and there were no shorebirds. One and
possibly 2 BLACK PHOEBES were in the willows along the dike. I got a brief
glimpse of what looked like a LINCOLN'S SPARROW but it did not cooperate so
could not confirm.
There were 20-30 Westerns at the north jetty mudflats.
