JUST to clarify that statement, you CAN share these things without
Exchange, via Net Folders (done that) and a few other claborative means.
It's just much EASIER and straight forward to do it if you have an
Exchange Server in place running the show. ;-)

Exchange Server is special software needed to run the shared parts of
Outlook on a Network....without it, people will not be able to share
their calendars, tasks, meetings, etc. It also allows you to have an
inTRAnet where you can send mail internally without using the internet
(tho there are other ways to do that also). If you have Exchange Server
installed, your Network Admin will know....if you don't have a network
admin, then I'm guessing you don't have Exchange Server LOL

If memory serves properly, sharing a calendar the conventional way
requires the touch of an administrator at the console of an Exchange
Server that is hosting the calendar. Is there one in service there?

If not, there is also the Net Folders approach. I have never tried this
so it will definitely be an experiment for you unless someone else here
has some experience with it. I'll do a no-no and paste the Microsoft
step-by-step for doing this as I find it difficult to improve on the
MSKB

Good luck!!
