If memory serves properly, sharing a calendar the conventional way requires the touch of an administrator at the console of an Exchange Server that is hosting the calendar. Is there one in service there? If not, there is also the Net Folders approach. I have never tried this so it will definitely be an experiment for you unless someone else here has some experience with it. I'll do a no-no and paste the Microsoft step-by-step for doing this as I find it difficult to improve on the MSKB Good luck!!
