Also a matter of purpose. I figure that a Mac is better if you tend towards 
producing, an IOS device is fien if you tend more towards consuming. As an 
example, I use my iPhone for podcast and audio book listening, youtube and 
netflicks videos etc., and the occasional email. For producing documents 
spreadsheets, longer emails etc. I go with my Mac. I admit that part of this is 
not having an external keyboard for my Iphone, but my wife has an iPad with an 
external keyboard and a Macbook, and she follows the same trends I do.

Just some thoughts.
