I guess it would probably be easier to sell as a research project.

Sadly, it's hard to get government funding these days. No chance,
unless you're at a big organization or hire specialized agencies,
that 'help' to get your proposals through the review boards somehow.

Oh, well ... I'm not sure I want to go that way. It looks like
this would take even more of my time to wrestle with bureaucracy.
