Funnily enough I had a moment last week in which I tried running the original FS4 on the new PC. Sadly it didn’t work even after trying the suggestion of running it from DOSbox. I think someone has got FS5.1 running in Vista but my copy here is still on 3.5 floppies and I no longer have a floppy drive in the PC. I had hoped to take a last look at the FS4 add ons like Grand Canyon, Hawaii and Tahiti. I bet a few here will remember those.. bones bones@xxxxxxx http://woodair.net From: jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of adamreed@xxxxxxxxxx Sent: 13 August 2011 21:30 To: jhb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jhb] Re: Progress Frank I agree there are many hardcore fs9 fans myself included. Like you say itd about machines and the good spec you need for fsx. I am fortunate to be having such a system this week hopefully but I will always keep fs9 because like you john its nice to delve into the past occasionally.. Ive still also got fs98 and fs2004, it really gobsmacks me in the advances the simulator series have made, simply brilliant. I really hope ms dont ruin microsoft flight, we will see. Keep well, adam
