I agree that setting a few guidelines what makes an app a good Haiku citizen would help software sites to sort out the "bad apples". Why don't the people with the motivation to do this now band together, and come up with a checklist for this? Many are long time Haiku users and can identify what makes a good Haiku app. There are some hints in the HIG as well. Become part of the Haiku project by developing such a checklist. There's no "us", there's no "we". Once you think the list is ready, present it to get feedback from other users/devs. Only after we have that kind of list, we can decide if a logo should be handed out by the project or if it's enough to put this list into the development documents and leave the rest to the software sites. I'd be interested in that discussion. Maybe open a new thread to present your first draft.
