  Hi Mel,

The best one was a letter which I received after doing a talk at a school.
He informed his friends that a man came to school who was very blind! Another
one asked what did I do if my dog was in season. I told the lad to ask his dad
about that when he went home.

The joys of being a speaker. It is sad that we cannot go into scvholls any
more following the shooting incident a number of years ago.

  Norman.

This is a sweet and funny story Vince!! Sadly, this is the world we live in.
It's very sad that you should feel that way but I don't blame you as that's
the kind of culture we live in nowadays. Well we probably always have done to
be fair, but it's always making news headlines now.

I've been quizzed by a few kids in the street about my dog, and that probably
put it in my mind to do the same thing more formally, because their questions
are often amazingly intelligent, and the conversation is interesting and often
funny.

Well, the other day, a little kid, aged about 5, I imagine, struck up a
conversation like that, and asked things like how old is he, does he like kids
and so on. Then he asked whether Zym had any brothers or sisters, and I said I
didn't know, but I bet he has lots of them because he could have been one of 10
or 12 pups born at the same time.

Then he said, "Does he have a pup in his tummy?" at which point I thought I'd
better move on! I just said no he hasn't, and thought better of explaining
why. I'm nervous enough of being suspected of being a paedophile if I talk to
kids (sad state the world is in!), let alone teaching him about the facts of
life. At that point, I heard an adult female voice calling him, and thought
just as well, and went on with my walk.

  Vince.

Hi Pam my name is Louise and I have been in class rooms talking to children
and it is wonderful and the younger they are the harder questions come out.
When I do five and six year old kids there questions are ones that sometimes
have more then one answer and I try to just answer the basic way and
sometimes I get questions like. Why are you blind and why does god make you
blind why cann't he give you sight back just some of the questions I get
everytime I'm in a class room.

I find that telling the kids that at the end of the time I will take the
harness off and they can come two at a time to pet and meet the dog really
keeps them happy. If you want to ask more questions off list please write
  me.
