Dear Neville,
How do these relate to the two diagrams that you posed to Regner? Presumably 
your idea of using a camera and a distant object is to back up the simulation 
with a practical experiment. Is that correct?

  That's the whole point, Jack. There is no difference. Yet one simulation is 
achieved with a snapshot every 4 minutes and the other is achieved with a 
snapshot every 24 hours.

  There is only one rotation axis, not two.
