2861 wasn't built when the Royal Train ran. 2851 was on the pilot train.

2863 was shopped at Weston and included her stack changed to the 'bathtub' configuration. 2861 was on the pilot train - with the press et cetera. There's a photo of 5920 and 2863 in WEST OF THE GREAT DIVIDE on the Stoney Creek Bridge.

 2863 got a stainless steel boiler jacket when she hauled the Royal Train.
 She kept it until she was scrapped.
