There was a book I read a couple of years ago called Baker Towers. It was a very well-written family saga, but it had one flaw. It mentioned that as one of the people in the book was walking along, she saw a boy with a transistor radio, and people gathered around him to hear that the war was over. The problem was that the transistor hadn't been invented yet and didn't come into use until the mid-50s.
