Since I use a Braille display, I understand I would have to use a flat bed
scanner rather than a big stand alone scanner. So what is a good flat bed
scanner brand name?

hi, Cindy. I can see your point, but I also know, from having had a
book-edge scanner before, and trying to scan larger books with a flat
bed, that although the book does have to be moved, the book-edge
scanners are just all around easier for the bigger books. And yes,
the book-edge scanners are considerably more expensive than the flat
beds, but to those of us who have them, they're well worth the money
spent. Speaking of money, just my 2 cents worth. Grin.
