This is an interesting topic to me since my scanner just died today! I couldn't believe it! I was in the process of scanning a book. In the middle of a page, the scanner stopped, then finished scanning the page. When the bar returned to the beginning again and I turned the scanner off, when I powered it back on again, it got no power. The light came on indicating that the scanner was getting power but the lamp on the bar never lit up. Ugh! Take care. -- Julie Morales Email & Windows/MSN Messenger: mercy421@xxxxxxxxxxx AIM mercylab421 http://juliemorales.avonrepresentative.com/ Currently in Winchester Regional, Virginia Clear, Lightning Observed 80°F Wind:NNW-330° at 5mph May the forces of evil become lost and confused on the way to your house. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nicki Keck" <favorite.blend@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookshare-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, August 16, 2007 10:09 PM Subject: [bookshare-discuss] Scanner question Hi all, Which scanners are best for book scanning? My scanner is 10 years old, and it seems to not be working well. I use openbook. Thanks for any suggestions of a good scanner. I asked my husband for one for my birthday, and he asked for suggestions of good ones that people use to read books with access software like Openbook. Thanks in advance for any help.
