You possibly loosened it a little more, but that just
means it wasn't in perfect condition in the first
place. I had at least one book that was in3 separate
sections when I got it, four when I returned it.
Sometimes I wonder why they keep them, but then I'm
glad, because otherwise they're unavailable,
especially some of the older ones. 

In addition to providing a service to handicapped
readers, we're preserving books that otherwise would
disappear, since Project Gutenberg only does books
that are out of copyright. There are some excellent
books not that old but are out-of-print. If we cn get
them and add them to the collection, they become
available, at least to members.
