Actually, with speech engines like natural voices, that's exactly what is
happening. While there are many whole words in the dictionary, the system
patches many sylables together to make whatever words need to be spoken. I
couldn't use a speech engine like that for reading long passages either, for
that kind of thing, doubletalk is far better.
