Greetings, Sandra. As I recall when I got mine a couple of months ago, it did not open up automatically either. I was told that my software should be upgraded and asked if I wished to do so. When I indicated "Yes", I was then transferred to the APH site wherein I got the chance to upgrade BP, and, I think, Book Wizard, (not even mentioned in the Manual, as I recall). I personally felt that the Manual's instructions and information relative to the software was very inadequate, presuming that the process would go so smoothly and is so self-explanatory that there is no need for an explanation of what is on the disc. It's probably just me, but I would have appreciated some sort of explanation about the software package. Michael ----- Original Message ----- From: Sandra E. I opened the Setup.exe from the CD and went out onto the APH web site for the upgrades, but it is not behaving as I would expect, and I am getting a message that the Book Port is not connected, along with two, descending beep tones. I would have thought that, when installing the software, I'd have got the usual message about license agreements, but I didn't. And the "finish" message came so quickly that it seemed there was hardly time forth files to load and be properly installed. I Reread the manual but all it says is to follow the on screen instructions and that once the soft is installed, it will open up automatically when the Book Port is connected via the USB port. That's not happening either. I appreciate any assistance. Sandy __________ NOD32 1.1705 (20060814) Information __________ This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system. http://www.eset.com
