We were talking about what the Braille translator does with superscripted or subscripted text. Apparently, it handles superscript numbers okay. It may not have done so before, which is what I remember hearing when I first read about it, but it seems to now. You wouldn't notice them in Braille or speech, unless your speech tells you when they occur.

I do not understand all this raising and lowering either. From my perspective as a speech user (k1000) and braille user (braillenote), footnote numbers appear as plain numbers (no superscript or subscript) immediately after the word to which they refer or after a comma or period with no space between the word or punctuation and number. Hope this makes sense.E. To unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxput the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line.
