The only problem with the old books being on step one
is that they're there and nobody seems to be
validating them in order to get them into the
collection. By "old" books is meant not old in terms
of publication date but that they've been sitting on
the step one page for months--in at least one case
that I saw, over a year.
It's great that you will validate them. Start at the
bottom of the page one list and check submission dates
by scrolling to the bottom once you've clicked on
"download" The first entry will tell you when the book
was submitted. If you don't want to take that book you
can just go back and look for another book. You don't
hav to download it.
Can you do Ark or Kes books? Those are the ones that
fewest of us are able to validate.
