The historical romances, or the romances set in a different time and place are 
definitely educational. I've learned about customs and historical facts (even 
if I don't always remember them) from reading the various romances set in 
Edwardian England and in England during eh Napoleonic wars, whether they are 
about real people, like Desiree or fictional people but set in istoricallt 
accurate time and palce. smile
