On Saturday, 12/4, around 4:30 p.m., I heard a large group of sandhill
cranes overhead. It was snowing and cloudy, so a count was not possible.
Visibility was still impaired on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. when I heard more
cranes. The location was in Prospect (northeast of Louisville) off of Wolf
Pen Branch Road.

Finally, our turn. About 70 Sandhills arrived over intersection of US 150
and Bluegrass Parkway about 1140. Came in two groups, circled a minute or
two, merged and continued south.
