Derek, accessibility is the responsibility of everyone within BT and as this matter is a BT retail issue, it is very much the responsibility of the head of BT retail. I would therefore strongly suggest that David pursues that line of enquiry, and not have to listen to the rettorecht and patronising defensiveness of the Age and Disability departments, who; after all, are only reacting to legislation and there statutory obligations to comply with reasonable adjustments.
BT may well have scratched the surface of compliance as far as reasonable adjustments are concerned, but so they bloody well should have. Complacency by the disabled community will see no improvements for disabled people. VT should not be receiving any accolades as yet, they've still got a journey to complete as far as accessibility and assistive technology for disabled people are concerned.

Hi John To be fair Ian was correct to pass your complain tto the disability manger because any issue about screen readers is a disability issue. Barry's problem with broadband is not a disability issue. You said:She did tell me how proud that BT are of their tactile phone cards and multiple format bills and how hard they work to help disabled people.Well lets be honest now In UK BT has done far more to assist its disabled customers, compared to any other telephone service provider.
