I agree with you Carol, I use 195 almost every day and it is a good service. I also agree with you that this is not a subject for this list. Well unless the moderator calls a halt we will have more of Derecks rubbish talk. Yes I am a shareholder as well.

Well, Derek, they could have printed their directories as an alternative <Boo-Hoo!>To be honest, it is a good service for us and for others who cannot look up numbers. Hopefully they have extended it to include other disabilities and not missing out those relating to age. With the profits they make though, they're not giving too much! <Smiles>I think this may be straying from accessibility so far as this list is concerned, so I'll say no more and simply shut up for a while now!-- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx----- Original Message ----- From: "Derek Hornby" <derek.hornby_uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, June 05, 2007 11:05 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Other BT FrustrationsColin said:it is very much the responsibility ofthe head of BT retail.and he will consult age and disability! As for your comments about BT age and disability: "are only reacting to legislation and there statutory obligations to comply with reasonable adjustments." Sorry but what you say can just as easily apply to any company. And I Still feel Bt has a very good track record for doing more than it legally must do. A good example is the 195 free directory service. Why should blind people get something for free that others must pay for?
